The graphics aren't as impressive as I remember, though some parts of it are still uber-cool.This game debuted a year after the Dreamcast, and I've been spoiled on DC and X-Box visuals.

The whole game is in English was Japanese subtitles. You'd better get familiar with the controls or you're going to die. The action is non-stop and keeps changing styles. There's some bit invovling the sharing of blood and a lot of mutation. The animals mutate and kill all the farmers, then invade mainland Japan. You use the shoulder buttons to jump and double jump.įrom what I can tell, the plot involves a furture earth where the population has grown to the point where people are starving, and an island off Japan is used to harvest a new kind of animal food source. You use the small yellow buttons to move left and right, and you also press the buttons to roll. You also use it A LOT to deflect the loads of bombs and missiles that are being lobbed your way. If an enemy is close enough, you can use the Z trigger to use your sword instead- it inflects major damage and is instrumental in defeating some bosses. you aim your gun with the analog controller (you may also switch to an auto-aiming gun this is less powerful) and you fire with the Z trigger. Man, I had forgotten what a completely AWESOME game this is! I pulled this game out from storage yesterday and hooked it up to my N64 with a $10 pass-through adaptor.
